Exciting news for BMF fans! Season 3 now has an official release date, scheduled for Friday, March 1, 2024, as revealed in late August.
Alongside this announcement, a teaser for Season 3 was unveiled.
But that’s not all – in addition to the renewal, filming for the new season has wrapped up, as confirmed in a video shared by DJ Akademiks in June 2023.
One of the actors joyfully exclaims, “We just completed Season 3!” This is especially reassuring considering potential delays due to the ongoing WGA strike.

The majority of the ensemble is anticipated to reprise their roles in Season 3.
This includes, among others;

Furthermore, Season 3 of is bringing in some exciting new faces, as reported by TV Line.
Notably, Tauheed K. Epps, known as 2 Chainz, and Shaffer Chimere Smith, known as Ne-Yo, are joining the cast.
2 Chainz will portray Stacks, an Atlanta native with immense wisdom and respect wherever he goes.
Ne-Yo, on the other hand, will take on the role of Rodney “Greeny” Green, a local Atlanta player focused on making money.
Greeny exudes swagger and an entrepreneurial spirit, hiding more than meets the eye.
As for Eric Kofi-Abrefa, it remains uncertain if he will return as Lamar in BMF Season 3, as his character’s fate is now uncertain.
Showrunner Heather Zuhlke, in an interview with Variety, remained secretive about whether he’ll make a comeback, saying, “That’s definitely a spoiler that I don’t want to speak to.”
Will Kash Doll (Monique) return for BMF Season 3?
Regrettably, it doesn’t appear that Kash Doll will be making a comeback to reprise her role as Monique, who is Meech’s on-and-off girlfriend and the mother of his child.
In a memorable moment from Season 2, Monique’s character tries to execute a plan to eliminate Lamar, but he catches on and ultimately strangles her to death.
This unexpected turn surprised fans and appeared to sadden Kash Doll as well.
